Soon very soon

Time flies when you are having fun, and that I must say it's true. I just finished a game of the old fashioned game StarCraft: Brood War over the net with some friends. My god I had it rough there for some time but I managed to get back up and fight back, then it was I who finished the fight :) we played a 2vs2 game on the map The Hunters. A well they want a rematch tomorrow so I better get some sleep, since tomorrow I'm on cleaning duty (juck), have to clean the whole house *roll eyes*. Anyway after I'm done with that I will probably eat some lunch and then work out a new strategy for tomorrows game. Enough about that.

I got a call today from academic work and they said that if I'm still interested in the job I applied for I could meet with their client on Thursday afternoon for an interview (yaye!) I'm all excited. I can only hope that it goes well. Although I have to call academic work tomorrow since they said that they where going to e-mail me the information on where the interview is going to take place but yet I haven't gotten any e-mail. Perhaps tomorrow, but if I haven't got it by the morning I'll call them.

Well well my big brother w/ family is coming in 2-3 days and everyone is preparing for their arrival here in Sweden. I'm getting more and more excited for the trip that we are going to make, Stockholm - Skellefteå and then back again 2 days later. Hmm alot of stuff that needs to be done in my room. I will need to clean it, cancel the apartment contract, say bye bye to my fine internet connection that I got and prepare all my stuff for the move. So when we get up there we basically need to eat some dinner and then maybe clean it up a bit for when I'm having more guests, and last but not least start packing my stuff. That is all for this time.

Todelo!

Oh here is a trailer I made for the game that I have submittet to the Swedish Game Awards.

More happy thoughts and some progress

The happy thoughts are still in my head since I've been harassing my big brother with mails about the internship oportunity at his workplace. I'm very excited about that, but since it is in the US I would need some sort of working permit to be able to do my internship on a legal basis (which I intend to do). It seems as it is moving in the right direction anyway :) so tomorrow I'm going to call my educations co-ordinator to get his "approval" on this, although I can't officially get an approval from him since I need to have the position at my big brothers work first and that requiers the temporary work permit. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow :/

Anyway today I managed to get ahold of a tech yourself C# in 21 days (3 weeks), and I've started reading in it and I am already at day 3s lesson :) I'm moving fast when I have a goal task ahead of me, I have also been programming in the languages C++ and Java so C# isn't that much of a differance but still some syntax is handy to get around. I guess I'll be finished by the time that my big brother and his family comes for vacation here in Sweden. And by then I should know where I'm going to do my thesis work, if it's in the US or here in Sweden. As I said last time I got denied from 1 application but I sent out one more to Ericsson and hopefully they will answer soon enough. I've heard positive feedback from my big brothers work, they're excited to get me to come over and to do my thesis/internship work at their place. I am excited aswell but I'm just hoping that the US government isn't in a bad mood or something when my application for a temporary work permit lands on their desk.

Today I was out shoping with my friend and his girlfriend and ofcurse I went to the game store and found some second-hand games that I bought (they where take 3 pay for 2) so I took NFSU, NFSU 2 and Brute Force. I played Brute Force on my brothers xbox and liked it but when I got home the game was nowHear to be found but now I found it :) so now, when I get back to Skellefteå I'm gonna play it through. Hopefully I get back on a quick visit before my big brother and his family comes over so I can clean up the place, it's a mess ;)

Well thats that for today I think, now I'm heading for the bed and some nice and good sleep. I know that I'm gonna wake up at 10 AM tomorrow (automatically) since it's so bright in my room when the sun is up. L8ters!

Happy thoughts

Got yet another denial e-mail today :( but I'm still holding my head high cause one application down and 2 new "sent". I failed to meet the criteria at one of the thesis positions at Ericsson, but I surfed back to their website and found another interesting job ad 'Thesis - HW accelerated 3D graphics in mobile phones' so I applied for it and did even manage to write a Cover Letter aswell :) and some other good news is that my big brother is going to ask for a thesis position at his work in the US :) maybe an Internship. I'm having my fingers crossed and I'm hoping for the best.

Today I did some manly work, first off I cleaned the wooden balcony in the backyard then when I was waiting for it to dry I managed to carry some lumber into the garage and start to split the lumber into smaller pieces so they dry faster and then they are a good fuel for the fire in the winter. The machine that splits the lumber pushes the lumber onto a mounted axehead with a 6 ton pressure, so it cracks/splits fairly easily. After doing that for an hour my dad came home with kebab for lunch, it was a long time since I've eaten a kebab. We finished lunch and then my Peter calls me and asks if I want to go to the movies on Sunday and watch Spiderman 3 (spiderman is my hero) so I say yes and ask when he is going to buy the tickets so he tells me in 45 min. I ask my dad for a ride to Kista which is where we are going to watch the movie on Sunday. So we go there and my dad has to make a stop at the bank for some business. Meanwhile I borrow the car and go and pickup Peter (he works nearby from Kista), I drove him to the Kista mall and he went in to get the tickets. In the meantime while Peter is buying the tickets I drove my dad back to work (which is also not far from the mall).

Then back again to pickup Peter and drive him back to his work since his lunchbreak was almost over. After I have dropped Peter off I drove back home, and on the way home I text Peters baby sister to say hello and ask what she is doing. She texts me back and wounder if I'm in town and for how long and she asks me if I could pick her up after school (she is in high school). I text her back and tell her that I could pick her up when she is finished for the day and that would be around 3-3:30 PM. At 3 PM I went to pick her up and then we went to Vällingby which is the suburb to Stockholm and sat down for some coffee and a cookie. We talked about how long I was in town for and stuff like that, I did do the awful mistake to tell her that I've been in town for a week now. She almost hit me over the head with the glas ;) After we had had our coffee we went to pickup my dad from work.

I dropped Carina off at her place and then drove back to my dads for dinner. Before dinner I continued to do some manly lumber splitting work just to feel like I've done something useful before dinner. After the dinner I went home to my friend Filip to watch the hockey game between Sweden and Switzerland and have some beers. Sweden won with 6 - 0 YAYE! A well that about sums it up :) Now I'm gonna hit the sack since my back hurts of all the hard work today and my eyelids are feeling heavy. I'm also hoping for a positive answer from either my big brother in the states or from Ericsson. But my big brother said that I shouldn't get my hopes up to high, and I'm not but still I'm waiting for an answer :)

Cheers!
